In the wake of the recent house fire in Hulland Ward, Nr Ashbourne in which four young children tragically lost their lives, I was interviewed on Monday by Phil Trow on BBC Radio Derby's breakfast show.
We discussed the likely impact of the tragedy on the children in the local community who knew Tommy (9), Alisha (6), Rocco (4) and Appolonia (2). You can listen here:

In a previous Counsellor's Casebook post I wrote about the ways in which bereavement affects younger children, and gave advice to adults about ways to support children who have experienced loss. I also included useful links to organisations who offer further information and resources to parents, teachers and other professionals.
